Job summary

Mountain View Retirement Village is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our care team. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments, observe effects, and document accurately in medication records to ensure safety and quality care for residents.

You will also support residents with daily living activities, encourage independence, and communicate observations to supervisory staff as part of our commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with state regulations and facility requirements.
• Maintains up-to-date medication certification as required by state regulations.
• Compassionate and empathetic in personal interactions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents needing assistance.
• Observes residents taking medications and notes effects or adverse reactions.
• Documents required information in residents' medication administration records.
• Communicates concerns or observations to Wellness Director, Coordinator, or designated staff.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
