Job summary

Broadwell -Administration in Plymouth, MN, is seeking a Medication Assistant to administer medications to residents in a safe, organized manner and maintain proper documentation. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely communication. Prior experience in long-term care and the ability to work as part of a team are essential; a TMA is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents using the MAR as a guide.
• Prepare medication for each resident’s administration with right drug, time, route, resident, and dosage.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident medication among staff and families.
• Document all resident concerns during administration.
• Complete treatments as outlined in the Treatment Administration Record.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of medication cart.
• Restock medication cart after passes.
• Be accountable for medication errors and report immediately.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
