Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Medication Aide to assist residents with medications, support daily living activities, and ensure documentation complies with state guidelines. You will help assure availability of meds and provide compassionate, quality care in a community setting.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed treatments, maintaining accurate records, observing residents, and supporting wellness through respectful, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• English proficiency (written and verbal) required.
• Interest in working with older adults.
• Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
• Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medications and treatments as prescribed by physician. Monitor responses and potential interactions and report to Wellness Director.
• Maintain all required documentation to ensure medications are handled properly and timely in compliance with physicians, company policy and state regulations.
• Maintain residents' records daily, including medication distribution, incident reports, and changes reported to Wellness Director.
• Maintain records of medications released to/returned by residents or family members in compliance with policy and state regulations.
• Maintain records of controlled drugs in compliance with policy and state regulations.
• Keep medication rooms and carts clean and organized.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, transfers, escorting, reminders).
• Motivate and encourage residents to remain as independent as possible while providing needed assistance.
• Treat residents with kindness, respect, and dignity.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment; perform housekeeping tasks for resident areas.
• Observe residents' physical and mental status and communicate observations to Wellness Director.
• Deliver and retrieve meal trays as needed; assist with meals per planned menus.
• Encourage proper diet and fluids while respecting residents’ choices; report changes.
• Support residents in dining rooms or apartments and assist in meal preparation when needed.
• Respond promptly to all resident care needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Wellness Director.
