Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician at Ivy Park in San Ramon, CA. The role involves supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents, plus delivering direct personal care to support residents’ activities and comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing and distributing medications, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, and maintaining accurate care records, while promoting a safe environment and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Completion of training/certification may be required by state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening (TB tests).
• Vaccination or PPE requirements may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
