Job summary

Monroe Health & Rehab Center in an assisted living setting seeks a dedicated Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications as ordered by physicians, under licensed nurse supervision. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to state regulations.

Ideal candidates will maintain registry standing, complete required competency evaluations, and possess basic computer skills for EHR usage. Full-time on-site position with strong growth and educational opportunities.

Qualifications

Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
We can provide guidance and resources to help you earn your GED.
Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides.
Follow established nursing standards, policies, procedures and state requirements.
Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure resident safety and quality care.
