Primrose Retirement Communities in Michigan is hiring a Medication Aide to administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy.

The Medication Aide provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, and meal services, collaborating with the nursing department and families to enable each resident to maintain well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Current Medication Aide or similar certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Attends in-service training and maintains CE hours if required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias is preferred.
• Demonstrates teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software.

Responsabilités

• Administer routine medications to residents per policy and state regulations.
• Provide care to residents including hygiene, dressing, and activities as assigned.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal services as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical professionals, residents and families to support well-being.
• Support the nursing department and other teams to ensure quality care.
