Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Newburgh, Indiana is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy. The role involves supporting residents with personal care and daily tasks, and collaborating with the nursing team to promote well‑being.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Medication Aide certification, maintains CPR/First Aid, and can work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant or Qualified Medication Administration Person per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Attends in-service training and maintains continuing education hours if required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates abilities to work as a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and programs.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy.
• Provide care to residents including personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, and activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with the nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, residents, and families to support resident well‑being.
