Job summary

City Care exists to do meaningful work for neighbors in need. As a Medical Shelter Support Worker, you will help create a safe, clean, welcoming space for recovery and well-being. Training is provided; no medical experience required, perfect for those starting in human services.

You’ll learn the daily operations of the Medical Respite program, participate in shift reports, and support with housekeeping, scheduling, and participant outreach while growing within a compassionate team.

Responsibilities

• Learn day-to-day operations of Medical Respite and keep participants safe and comfortable.
• Participate in shift reports and communicate updates about participants.
• Maintain accountability for participant whereabouts and safety checks.
• Coordinate housekeeping, EVS, laundry, meals, and supplies.
• Assist with scheduling medical appointments and participant intake.
• Support teammates and foster a respectful, collaborative environment.
