Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typing ability and basic computer skills.
• Minimum of one year in a customer service role.
• Prefer six months’ receptionist experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• Familiar with reception tasks, clinic policies and paperwork.
• Experience using office equipment and a multi-line phone system.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a polite, prompt, helpful manner.
• Update patient data, insurance information and collect co-pays.
• Answer phones and handle messages, provide information.
• Process documents, scan or file into charts.
• Coordinate patient movement and assist with scheduling.
• Maintain a clean waiting area and assist with equipment as needed.
• Attend meetings and support administrative duties as assigned.
