Job summary

The Valley Health System-Ridgewood is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs, and related tasks with careful documentation in the EMR. You will support front desk duties, registration, billing and insurance processes to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Candidates should hold NJ-recognized CMA/NCCT/AAMT credentials with BLS on hire; a formal MA program completion is required. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Current and valid certification as a medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners such as AMT, AAMA, NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and tests as required by the provider.
• Document accurately in the EMR system per licensure and Valley Hospital policies.
• Support front desk activities: patient registration, billing, insurance and safe visit protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver courteous, respectful patient care.
