Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will greet patients, prepare them for visits, document histories, and assist with exams, testing, and procedures.

You will also administer medications, relay results, and educate patients to promote better health outcomes. A strong emphasis on team collaboration and care coordination is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• MA program/externship or internship completed.
• CPR certification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and testing.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Educate patients and families to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
