Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

The role involves welcoming patients, recording histories and vitals, assisting with exams and testing, administering medications, and educating patients and families to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0–1 year of clinical experience or equivalent education/experience.
• In absence of MA program/externship/internship, 2+ years of clinical support experience required.
• Credentialed MA or related clinical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
