Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with exams, testing, and specimen collection, and aid in care coordination and education.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, administering medications, and communicating results and instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of accredited MA program/externship or internship; EMT or Paramedic program or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• If credentialed, maintains MA Re-Certification CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
