Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide essential clinical and clerical support in delivering patient care. The role includes vitals, screenings, EKGs, and coordinated scheduling while floating to other offices as needed.

Qualifications include a diploma or CT certification, BLS from AHA, and EPIC EMR experience. Prior clinical experience is preferred. This position supports Hartford HealthCare’s mission across Connecticut’s extensive network.

Qualifications

• Diploma or CT healthcare certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required within 3 months of hire.
• All credentials must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, allergies, medical reconciliation, screenings and history.
• Perform manual blood pressure and EKGs.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations; conduct point of care testing.
