Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide information about services, funding resources, and what to expect.
• Prepare patients for care and assist clinicians during abortion procedures.
• Provide patient education, forms, and referrals.
• Conduct pregnancy testing and provide related information and referrals.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (blood, urine).
• Perform venipuncture within scope of training/licensure.
• Prepare rooms and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
• Register and schedule patients for services.
• Maintain accurate patient records (registration, medical, lab, visit).
• Document entries in the EHR and verify accuracy.
• Verify payment methods and determine eligibility for financial assistance.
• Calculate patient fees and reconcile payments according to procedures.
• Provide and review required forms with patients.
• Complete daily financial and charge-closing activities.
• Collaborate with clinicians and leadership for coordinated care.
• Communicate to ensure timely patient visits.
• Follow safety, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA policies and ongoing training.
