Job summary

VillageMD seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient support and staff clinical duties in Sugar Land, TX. You will welcome patients, assist the provider, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, and help ensure a smooth visit flow.

Responsibilities include vital signs, room prep, medication administration, and maintaining a clean, organized clinic environment. A National MA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Ability to perform EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Strong patient communication and clinical support skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs point-of-care tests and EKGs, plus suture/staple removal and dressing changes.
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed by Provider.
• Prepares patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations.
• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens correctly.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
