Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care's Slidell clinic is seeking a medical assistant to support outpatient care. You will report to the Center Administrator and contribute to high-quality clinical support for patients in a collaborative setting.

This role involves taking histories, assisting with vaccines and phlebotomy, maintaining sterile exam rooms, and EMR documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are valued, with TB screening and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 3+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certified.
• Meet patient-facing role requirements, including participation in our TB screening program.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms, and record vital signs.
• Administer medications and vaccines following protocols.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
• Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment.
• Document patient information in the EMR system.
