Patient First in Chantilly, VA is seeking a patient-focused assistant to support nurses and physicians. You will triage patients, collect vital signs, and prepare patients for exams, while efficiently using the EMR system and coordinating with lab and radiology as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (4–7 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs.
• Triage patients and prepare for physician/nurse exams.
• Use the electronic medical record system.
• Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with patient care.
• Report to the Charge Nurse before leaving shift.
• Maintain treatment area cleanliness and restock rooms.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
