Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification with 1+ year experience or 2+ years experience as Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA/Red Cross).
• Compassionate, patient-focused and team-oriented.
• Proactive communicator with colleagues and patients.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner and provide information about conditions, treatment plans and medications.
• Support clinical operations and patient care, including triage, vital signs, histories, phlebotomy, and assisting with minor procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in EHRs in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and providers on discharge plans and training of new team members.
