Job summary

ConvenientMD is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our NH clinics. You will engage patients, support clinicians, and help maintain efficient clinic operations while ensuring high-quality care and patient education.

The role involves triage, vital signs, phlebotomy, medication administration in NH/ME settings, and collaboration with the clinical team. A High school diploma, Medical Assistant cert, and BLS are required; willingness to travel to nearby ConvenientMD locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification or demonstrated prior experience: Medical Assistant certification with at least one year of experience or two years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
• Compassionate, authentic, and patient focused: Support patients through kindness; demonstrating understanding for others and contributing to belonging.
• Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal): Foreshadows and elevates concerns as they arise, unafraid of professional directness with colleagues and patients.

• Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity as well as other business systems.

Responsibilities

• Patient interaction: Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing information about conditions, treatments, and medications.
• Clinical responsibilities: Support clinical operations and patient care, triage, take vital signs, obtain histories, perform phlebotomy, and assist with minor procedures.
• Medication administration (NH & ME only): Administer medications under supervision, ensuring proper preparation, dosages, and administration routes.
• Collaboration with clinical team: Communicate with providers to relay patient information and updates, support discharge planning, and assist with onboarding new staff.
