Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• One year work experience preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required for hire and maintained.
• Certification CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA required.
• Preferred CMA or RMA in CMA/RMA noted.
• Must successfully complete orientation and annual skills competency.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and observation duties under direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
• Take vital signs and collect specimens; perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Administer limited medications per policy; draw blood; sterilize equipment.
• Maintain exam rooms and patient charts; support front desk duties as needed.
• Respond to patient requests and reinforce patient education; assist in emergencies.
