Job summary

Emory Clinic in Lilburn, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to perform patient care and assist licensed providers in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, specimen collection, drawing blood, and preparing exam rooms while supporting front-desk tasks.

The role requires current BLS, CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certifications or CMA preferred, a high school diploma, and basic computer skills. 40-hour week, 8a-5p schedule, and Emory’s patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required and maintained.
• CMA (AAMA) / RMA (AMT) / CCMA (NHA) / NCMA (NCCT) certifications preferred.
• Must complete all orientation and annual skills competency.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and observation duties under licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
• Take vital signs and assist with medications per clinic policy.
• Perform simple diagnostic tests and collect specimens.
• Draw blood and sterilize/clean equipment; maintain exam rooms.
• Assist in patient check-in/out and respond to patient requests.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure confidentiality; support safety standards.
