Job summary

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join a patient-focused healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support providers and clinical staff while delivering high-quality patient care and an excellent patient experience.

This position involves rooming patients, obtaining and documenting information, performing basic clinical tasks, collecting specimens, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have medical terminology knowledge and clinical workflow understanding.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills essential.
• Ability to stay calm and provide effective care in emergencies.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document patient information in the medical record.
• Perform vital clinical functions within MA scope of practice.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary collection.
• Perform EKGs and simple specimen collection.
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes.
