Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage patient flow, document vitals, and support providers in exams and procedures. You will coordinate with labs, maintain exam room readiness, and assist with scheduling and communication under the supervision of licensed staff.

The role requires CMA certification or completion of a MA training program, with BLS CPR, and EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification or completed a medical assistant training program.
• If hired without certification, must obtain CMA within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum two years of clinical office experience preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms promptly and courteously.
• Review charts to ensure required reports are available prior to examination.
• Obtain and document patient chief complaints and vitals.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab submission; coordinate with labs.
