Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Medical Assistant Certification required. BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit.
• Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit.
• Answers the patient’s questions prior to leaving; prepares room for next appointment.
• Provides excellent patient service through effective communication both over the phone and in person.
• Completes patient registration and documentation as needed.
• Maintains clinical knowledge, technical skills, and credentials through ongoing professional development.
