Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in patient care at the Riverhead site. You will help with vitals, EKGs, specimen collection, and patient room preparations, while ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate charting.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion (or 2 years MA experience), strong communication and customer service skills, and basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care.
• Manage patient flow and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and collect specimens as needed.
• Prepare rooms and assist with charting and paperwork.
• Assist with training of new Medical Assistants and may perform admin duties.
