Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse for an ambulatory/office setting. The role includes direct patient care, diagnostic testing, and support for physicians in a fast-paced clinic.

You will assist with patient flow, perform basic procedures under supervision, and help maintain records and scheduling. CPR certification and current licensure or certification are required, with further professional development supported.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or be a Licensed Practical Nurse with current licensure.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Two years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients to care areas and collect chief complaint, vitals, and demographic data.
• Perform diagnostic testing (EKG, PFT, minor lab) as ordered; venipuncture as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and chart notes.
• Assist physicians with procedures, treatments and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications and document administration.
• Support patient services including data entry and appointment coordination.
