Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in family practice or specialty; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews appointment schedules to ensure charts include required documents such as labs, x-rays, medications, and consults.
• Triage patients from waiting area; measure vitals and complete tests per provider orders.
• Document all phone calls and patient communications.
• Schedule referrals and outpatient testing; inform patients of appointment details.
• Manage medication refill requests per clinical guidelines.
• Assist with procedures as required by the provider.
• Sanitize and prepare exam rooms between patients.
• Draw labs and perform point-of-care testing; report results to ordering provider.
• Administer injections and document administration per guidelines.
• Calibrate equipment monthly and participate in staff meetings.
