Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems in Augusta, GA is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our outpatient care team. You will perform vitals, administer basic medications, collect specimens, and support exam room operations under supervision of a licensed provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or MedCA).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and administer a limited profile of medications/injections per policy.
• Collect specimens, draw blood, and perform simple diagnostic tests.
• Maintain exam rooms, clean equipment, and stock supplies.
• Assist in emergencies as directed by licensed provider or RN.
• Operate and document in Electronic Medical Records.
