Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant (AAMA/NCMA/CCMA/MedCA) required or preferred
• BLS certification required upon hire unless otherwise stated
• Ambulatory clinical duties including vital signs, specimen collection, injections and basic diagnostics

Responsabilités

• Obtain vital signs and patient history during intake
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures in ambulatory care
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, basic venipuncture and injections
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; maintain equipment and supplies
• Document procedures and patient data in EMR (PowerChart/EPIC or similar)
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout visits
