Job summary

Humana Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patient care, handling administrative duties and basic clinical tasks. You’ll discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and assist with phlebotomy and vaccine administration under active certification.

You will document information in the electronic medical record, sterilize equipment, and maintain examination rooms while collaborating closely with physicians and advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

• Completion of MA program or certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for patient care and administrative duties.
• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and perform basic clinical tasks as allowed by certification.
• Phlebotomy, vaccine/medication administration, and specimen collection.
• Document information into the EMR system and maintain exam rooms.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver patient care.
