Trinity Health in Central City, IA is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant for day shift. You will support providers, prepare patients, collect vital signs, and document in the medical record, contributing to smooth clinics operations.

Responsibilities include administering medications and immunizations under supervision, coordinating tests and referrals, maintaining patient confidentiality, and educating patients on plans of care and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• Must obtain CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA (AAMA), CCMA, NRCMA, or NPCE MA certification within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completion within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).

Responsabilités

• Deliver patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and ensure documentation is complete.
• Coordinate tests, labs, x-rays, and referrals; inform patients about test results and care plans.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies and standards.
• Educate patients and families on discharge plans and care instructions.
• Support training, orientation, and cross-coverage as needed.
• Escalate non-routine issues to supervisors and providers.
