Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patient care. The role combines administrative duties with clinical tasks such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and vaccination administration, within CenterWell Senior Primary Care.

Candidates may be MA certified or have extensive experience, and the position supports a TB screening program. Ideal applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification, with bilingual English/Spanish as a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first contact for patient care and handle administrative tasks.
• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs and document information in the electronic medical records system.
• Perform clinical duties including phlebotomy, medication/vaccine administration, and specimen collection.
• Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care.
