Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Greer, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative tasks onsite. You will be the first contact for patient care, assist with vital signs, vaccines, and phlebotomy, and collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.

The role requires MA training or certification (or 5+ years of experience), a high school diploma, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MA program or CMA/RMA or 5+ years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical responsibilities including discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care as allowed by current certification.
• Make decisions within department policies and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters but prioritize tasks independently.
• Follow standard procedures allowing interpretation or deviation.
