Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Shelby Township, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Neurology Clinic team and deliver compassionate, precise care.

You will greet patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, document in EPIC, manage prescriptions and lab orders, and support providers.

Qualified graduates of an MA program with externship (160 hours) or with equivalent clinical experience; BLS to be completed on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hour minimum).
• Current BLS-C upon hire or completion by orientation end.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, greet and settle them for visits.
• Take vital signs and record in the EHR accurately.
• Prepare for exams and procedures per protocols; follow best practices.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed; maintain records.
• Document all patient care in the EHR and manage orders.
• Respond promptly to patient requests via phone or messages.
