Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Saint Clair Shores, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology clinic. This 40-hour day shift position supports clinicians with both administrative and clinical tasks, including preparing patients, taking vitals, and assisting with procedures.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and formal MA training, with EPIC EMR experience preferred. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with clinical externship (160 hours) or equivalent recent clinical experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort to exam room, and prepare for visits.
• Record vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Assist with examinations and procedures per protocols.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and vaccines as ordered.
• Document care in the EHR and communicate patient needs.
• Monitor for emergencies and respond per protocol.
• Enter orders in the EHR for provider approval.
• Discharge patients with after-visit instructions.
