Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred.
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm greeting and get them settled and ready for their visit.
• Take vital signs and record them in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Chat with patients to gather medical history and ask the right questions.
• Prep for exams, procedures, and treatments following established protocols.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed and maintain records.
• Document all patient care activities in the EHR and keep the clinical picture current.
• Stay alert and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Manage patient requests via phone, In Basket, and My Chart and document in the EHR.
• Enter medication, radiology, and lab orders for provider review and sign-off.
• Provide clear after-visit instructions and welcoming closure.
• Prepare medication refill requests for provider review in the EHR.
