Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical staff in delivering safe, efficient patient care. You will handle routine clinical tasks, document in the EHR, and help ensure a smooth patient journey in a fast-paced, team-based setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, and a CMA/RMA/CCMA certification is preferred. BLS may be required; strong English communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least 1 year of MA experience in a clinic or physician office.
• Current MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) preferred; may be required by state/organization.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for examinations by recording vital signs and history.
• Document patient information in the EHR accurately and promptly.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are available and clean.
• Assist with basic clinical procedures (EKG, specimen collection, injections under supervision).
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate with providers to optimize scheduling.
• Handle administrative tasks: calls, appointments, referrals, check-in/out.
• Educate patients on procedures and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain inventory and assist with restocking and safety procedures.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy standards; ensure patient confidentiality.
• Assist with lab specimens labeling, logging, and transport per protocol.
