Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, administer medications as directed, and communicate test results and instructions to patients.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• If MA program/externship/internship not completed, 2+ years of clinical experience required.
• Successful completion of an MA program with externship or EMT/Paramedic training is preferred.
• Credentialed MA certifications (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
