Job summary

Health First in Florida seeks a Medical Assistant Certified to provide comprehensive care during office visits, including intake, tests, labs, and medication administration, while ensuring patient-centered service.

The successful candidate will perform point-of-care testing, manage pre-work for providers, document results in the EMR, and support several providers as needed. A CMA or RMA and AHA BLS are required, with strong knowledge of medical terminology and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical Diploma in Medical Assisting is required.
• CMA or RMA certification from an accredited organization is required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card is required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs point of care testing such as urine dipstick and blood glucose.
• Performs clinical intake including vital signs and medical histories.
• Assists with medication administration per provider orders using the 6 Rights of Medication Administration.
• Stocking, supplies, and equipment management; coordinates orders with site manager.
• Sets up patients for examination and pre-work for providers with relevant test results.
