Variety Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Medical Support department. The role focuses on accurate clinical intake, specimen collection, and vaccination administration under provider direction, while maintaining EMR documentation and patient safety in a fast-paced clinic.

You will communicate with patients and the care team, participate in clinic workflow, and may float to different areas as needed to ensure seamless care delivery and continuity for Variety Care patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated foundational clinical skills and accurate documentation.
• CPR course within 90 days.
• Intermediate computer skills, data entry and typing.
• HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform clinical intake measurements and document in EMR (height, weight, vitals, SpO2).
• Administer immunizations under provider direction and document in EMR.
• Collect patient specimens per protocols.
• Support patient safety and clinic flow through policy adherence.
• Use EMR for assigned tasks and accurate documentation.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and team members.
• Accept feedback and adapt to improve performance and consistency.
• Float within the clinic to cover workflow needs.
• Assist in psychiatric specialty clinics and care coordination as needed.
