Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience with confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit.
• Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit.
• Prepares room for next appointment.
• Provides excellent patient service through effective communication both over the phone and in person.
• Completes appropriate documentation including patient registration if necessary.
• Maintains clinical knowledge and credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Adapts to the patient population and communication style.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
