Job summary

ChenMed in Oakland Park, FL seeks a Care Promoter 1 to support primary care operations. You will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks under physician supervision to keep centers running smoothly. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and teamwork within a physician-led care team.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant background, strong communication, and the ability to travel locally up to 10% to cover other centers as needed. BLS is required, with ED experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as Medical Assistant or similar role.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs and medical history.
• Communicate patient needs to the PCP and clinical team.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during exams.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the PCP.
• Perform basic clinical tasks and collect lab specimens as directed.
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision.
• Maintain supplies and ensure OSHA safety standards.
• Process patient messages and relay information to physicians.
• Support physician by following legal and ethical guidelines in dispensing.
• Provide health coaching and follow up with patients weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
