Job summary

ChenMed in Florida is looking for a Care Promoter 1 to join a physician-led team and support both administrative and clinical tasks to keep centers running smoothly.

You will perform vital signs, patient prep, routine screenings, phlebotomy, basic lab tests and assist in exams under physician supervision. TOE: HS diploma and Medical Assistant/EMT/PCT program; 1 year experience; BLS; EMR a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Graduation from Medical Assistant, PCT, EMT or Paramedic program.
• At least 1 year of work experience in medical support roles.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs and medical history.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during exams.
• Collect lab specimens and perform basic waived tests.
• Administer medications and assist with wound care per supervision.
• Process messages, relay information to the physician, and maintain documentation.
• Call in prescriptions to pharmacies with proper medical terminology.
• Provide health coaching to defined patient groups and conduct follow-ups.
