Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Antioch, CA is seeking an experienced Medication Aide to support residents under the Director of Nursing. Responsibilities include pouring, dispensing, charting medications, taking vital signs, and maintaining charted records.

The candidate should be able to read/write English, follow directions, and meet routine physical requirements. Certifications in first aid/CPR and a state-mandated med tech credential are expected, along with fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to conform to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees.
• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
• Oregon Care Partners Certification for Med Tech.
• Highschool Graduate.
• Must have first aid training and CPR certificates.
• Must have acceptable references.
• Must have current physical exam and TB test.
• Must be able to pass fingerprint screening.

Responsibilities

• Pour, pass, and chart medications.
• Perform accucheck.
• Preserve the dignity and self-respect of all residents.
• Practice confidentiality regarding residents and their records.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to supervisor.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Complete paperwork such as charting and incident reports.
• Attend all required training and in-services.
• Order medications.
• Contact doctors and outside agencies.
