Job summary

Essentia Health seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Med/Surg Float Pool at St. Marys Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The role supports multiple units with rotating 8-hour shifts and a 0.8 FTE schedule.

Qualifications include nursing assistant experience or completion of approved programs and active or pending state registry, with BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 1 month of hire. Benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have eligible nursing assistant credentials or in-progress enrollment.
• Minimum experience expectations are outlined for various pathways to qualification.
• Active or soon-to-be registration on the state nursing assistant registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Deliver comfort care and additional patient support as needed.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility.
• Take vital signs and maintain accurate records.
• Report patient condition changes promptly to the RN.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.
