Qualifications

• Six months of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and comfort under supervision of RN or designated supervisor.
• Take vital signs and complete basic recordkeeping.
• Transfer patients safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and report promptly to RN.
