Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Katy, TX. This PRN role focuses on high-quality mammographic imaging to aid physicians in breast disease diagnosis, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has ARRT certification in radiography and mammography, is BLS certified, and brings 1+ year of mammography experience, with a strong knowledge of digital systems and PACS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT (R) and (M) certification required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year mammography experience; outpatient experience preferred.
• Knowledge of digital mammography systems, PACS, and QC procedures.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using digital mammography equipment.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and accuracy.
• Apply radiation safety measures and comply with MQSA and ACR guidelines.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and document in PACS/EMR.
• Assist radiologists with stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mammography equipment; perform daily quality control checks.
• Educate patients about the procedure and address questions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and participate in continuing education.
