Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) credentials, and possess state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety.
• Provide compassionate care, recognizing the sensitive nature of mammography exams.
• Educate patients on procedures and answer questions to ease anxiety.
• Verify patient information, orders, and documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain mammography equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to MQSA standards and safety guidelines.

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused PRN Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging centers.

This is a PRN position working as needed at our Arlington, Red Oak, Midlothian facilities.

Position Summary

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while delivering an exceptional patient experience with a strong focus on compassionate care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety
• Provide compassionate care, recognizing the sensitive nature of mammography exams
• Educate patients on procedures and answer questions to ease anxiety
• Verify patient information, orders, and documentation for accuracy
• Maintain mammography equipment and report any issues promptly
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, including MQSA requirements
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and front office staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and work areas
