Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the NC Durham Detention Facility. This full-time role involves patient care under RN supervision, medication administration, and documentation to ensure quality outcomes.

The LPN will work a night 12-hour shift, contributing to treatment planning, nursing education, and coordinated care for underserved populations. Valid NC LPN license and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one year clinic experience preferred.
• Active LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs under RN supervision.
• Administer medications and perform IV therapy if certified.
• Support controlled substance counts and respond to health emergencies.
• Assist in procedures and document nursing encounters using SOAP format.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training for high‑quality patient care.
